65Introduction to Learning Basic Arabic
The changing ways of the world have made learning basic Arabic language a major point of importance for many people. Whether the person is looking to join an organization like the FBI, CIA, or other Homeland Security branch, or if an individual wants to do business in the Middle East, there are many reasons to learn the Arabic language. Aside from a better understanding of the culture, many job opportunities open up from having such a unique skill, especially if you are looking at international business, security, intelligence, or national security. The demand for good Arabic language learning programs is at an all time high as far as demand, and programs like Rosetta Stone, as mentioned below, or Rocket Language Learning Arabic, as linked to up above, are two examples of individual solutions to programs designed to help learn Arabic online or use software to learn it from your home computer.
Rosetta Stone Arabic Language Learning Software
While Rocket Language Learning, as linked to in the first section of this hub, might be one of the more popular recent programs because of the tutoring videos and interaction with real Arabic speakers, the better known option and one that still has many fans is the Rosetta Stone Arabic Language Learning Software. Part of the reason this stays the case is because this language learning software is some of the most famous both because of results and because of the many multiple commercials out there. Many people believe this is one of the best Arabic language learning online options, while others prefer the Rocket Language Learning, but both programs have been proven to work effectively, and to some degree it's a matter of who learns better with which methods as both can be an extremely effective way of learning Arabic.

Instant Immersion Arabic Language Learning Software
While there is very little question that as far as actual software programs go, Rosetta Stone Arabic and Rocket Language Learning Arabic are the two best programs for learning Arabic through videos or online. However, for many people $80 to $500 might be a little too much, especially if your particular needs mean you only need to go skin deep and learn the very basics of the language vocabulary and language structure. While many people are tempted to go really cheap with language books, these have a very limited use as reading the language (or the written English translation of the language). Audio CDs at a minimum should be necessary for anyone who is serious about learning the Arabic language with any type of study guide.
Computer CDs that have pictures to associate with the words are even better, since visual aids combined with hearing the language and words will help your brain to make that connection and make it more likely to stick in your head. Look for a book with audio CDs, or a cheap computer software program that at least shows you some pictures and audio language to help you learn Arabic online. The "Instant Immersion" series is a poor man's alternative to other Arabic learning programs, and there are others, as well.

The Arabic language is a very rich language and when you learn it you would know a lot of great things such as the Arabs history and their way of thinking and what affects the style of their life .If you want to learn Arabic very well you should read the holy book of Quraan which is a reference in that respect even for the christian Arabs.

Self teaching a language is the most hardest and the most beautiful thing in this world, requires lot of dedication and self motivation and at times it could be frustrating also when you get less time to practice or study due to your hectic schedule. Very interesting article however i personally feel that maybe if you consume all the softwares/books/audios one by one you might get some level of fluency but i don't think online courses are efficient enough to teach you something.
I highly doubt that but again i'd say i've never tried that and that's only my opinion.
what an interesting hub to read. I happened to know a friend of mine who uses Rosetta Stone in their bilingual class. It is a very effective tool in the learning process. I like your other hubs and you can consider me as one of your followers.

These programs are great! A far cry from the cassette tapes in the 90s. Yeah, I am a relic. To further getting a grasp of the language, if you can: visit the country(ies) read foreign newspapers, watch foreign TV shows (ALL online). It really helps you to get a better ear and pronounce better if you are determined. It helped me but Rosetta Stone stuff is top-notch and worth it.
