Constant-Content is a website that specializes in bringing together above average writers with clients who need above average quality writing. This is a website that is open to writers, but holds high editorial standards for the articles themselves. Writers can choose to answer public requests, or simply work on articles about whatever topics interest them. The writers get to set their own prices for usage, unique, or full rights content. While the editorial standards here are high, this also allows writers to charge much more on a per article basis. For beginning freelance writers who naturally have a lot of talent but don't have the connections or experience, CC is a site that offers a lot of potential to get top notch editorial feedback, help you learn and understand how the freelance writing world works, and still allows you to earn some pretty good scratch starting right off the bat. So if you've been looking for a good place to up the online writing income, getting started at Constant-Content is a good way to get started and get moving.

Constant Content Writing Tips
There are many freelance writing tips that can be very good advice for writing for Constant-Content. Probably the best one right off the bat is to realize that this online website is not like other online freelance writing sites. You want to only deliver your best work here, and learn how to set true value on your work so you get paid well accordingly. If you want to cut to the chase and really get top notch advice, Celeste wrote an excellent e-book on writing for CC entitled: Secrets to Success on Constant Content. I highly recommend this book. Celeste is one of the all time earners at Constant Content, and has probably made more of CC than most online freelance writers dream of making in their online writing career, period. Plus, the book is less than $10, which makes it a ridiculously good deal. As for some of the tips I would mention right off the bat based on my experiences writing for CC:
- Write in clear concise sentences. Don't get fancy.
- If in doubt, price your article $10-20 higher than you think it's worth. You'll be surprised how often articles will sell at that level.
- Write for the public requests that ask for a batch of articles, as opposed to just one or two. This way you have more of a chance of your article getting accepted.
- List articles do very well. I've found consistently that "5 tips," "Top 10," or "20 things to know about..." or other similar articles do exceptionally well for me over at Constant-Content.
I hope you found these tips helpful. And I strongly recommend the e-book. For $10, seriously, save yourself the months of learning curve and get making money on CC quickly. This should be a no brainer. So Where Does CC Fit In?
For the talented online freelance writer, Constant-Content should definitely be a part of the online writing portfolio. While the obvious drawback is that no article you write is guaranteed to sell, you can sell your articles here for much higher income than most other online sources, and a full time income is possible. That's something most online content provider sites for freelance writers definitely can not claim. While I definitely understand the need for making cash now, for paying the bills, for keeping the collectors at arm's length, Constant-Content allows writers to build a pretty large portfolio of work that is available for premium prices that they set. In addition, Ed is as tough an editor as they get. If you can prove that you can consistently write to his standards without having to revise all the time, then you can take stone cold confidence in the fact that you have the ability to write for anyone.

Thank you for this honest review of Constant Content. I tried writing for them but had problems with "two spaces between paragraphs" and another format problem. After being rejected twice, I got scared off. May try again.
@ Suzie, yes they can be very picky on formatting, so finding the writer's guidelines and making sure everything is perfect is critical. That's the hardest part for me, so I always make myself wait a day and re-look before submitting. Patience isn't my strong point, so it took me some time to get things right and realize the pay off was definitely worth the extra effort.
@Hello. Is there another place I mentioned the rip-off site known as Helium other than the review at the bottom? It is a negative review, so I assumed that would be enough, but I added another clarifying comment just to make sure. I hope you do really well at CC, and I agree, writers need to stay away from Helium.
Good information here. Making a living as a writer is my goal. Several months ago submitted an article to CC, boomeranged as not meeting their standards. Now I write for Textbroker, which I like except that I take too long to write and edit, so no way can you survive on them alone. Will try CC again.
@Hello, well looks like the Helium rah-rahs win, my review of Helium has been removed from HubPages and I was forced to delete it completely after an e-mail warning that that repeat violations will result in me being booted from HubPages. So in this case the Helium supporters and people who plagiarized my work got away with one. But in summary: don't ever write for Helium.
Jerry, did they say why it was removed? If not, can you ask them to be specific? As you know, I also have a review of Helium here and while I've had Heliumites leave comments, I've never had a problem from HP. What did they say you were violating? You're sure it wasn't something as simple as having more than two outbound links?

At this point, I'm not willing to deal with the headache of it so I'm just putting it behind me. It was 2 outbound links, then I stripped out all links to any site I was associated with, and it came back again warning me that it was in violation for being overly Promotional, even though there were only 4 links in the entire hub, all of them to reviews I had nothing to do with, then I removed every single link, sent it for review, received an error message, then received an e-mail warning me my account would be closed if I repeatedly violated the terms of service for being overly promotional. So the page appeared on my board again, but it was an older version with all the links back in it that I had removed, so I just deleted the entire thing. I've never had a single issue with HubPages in any way, shape, or form before now and I'm not going to lose my account because of this one instance. I know the material off of it was copied and pasted on several other websites without my permission, and that happened at the same time the hub was slapped because the information has to be unique for you to have promotional links, and with all the copiers now it wasn't. But that's alright. If one minor bump is the only problem I ever have here, I'll consider myself lucky. They did go out of their way to make sure I received my $50 contest winnings after an e-mail I was supposed to receive never came through, so at this point I'm just going to play it safe, remove it, and be done with it. There are enough "don't write for Helium" reviews out there that beginning freelance writers should be able to find plenty to warn them off.

Hello, Jerry, and thank you very much for all these great tips. I have signed up with and hopefully I will get some where. I agree with you about helium in your other hub that they are nother but something. I was a bit surprised that you mentioned them in this hub. I hope you don't mind my saying - please take them off or put a remark that are not to be trusted.
